Slice Your Way to Big Wins in the Latest Play’n GO Samurai-Action Game — Ronin’s Honour

Play’n GO has released another exciting slot game taking you on an unforgettable journey to ancient Japan — Ronin’s Honour. The developer already has a slot in this genre, Tale of Kuybiko, released in 2022.
Ronin’s Honour depicts a classic hero-versus-villain story in which a ronin, a samurai with no master, seeks revenge against the evil Hannya. The game plays out on a 5×3 grid with 243 payways, has an RTP of 96.22%, and offers 30,000x your stake. It is set against a grey battlefield background, complemented by a soothing soundtrack.

The game features low-paying (A, J, Q, and K) and high-paying symbols (dagger, sword, shuriken, and spike club)—the latter pay between 3x and 10x for five-of-a-kind. Interestingly, Ronin’s Honour has two wild symbols — a masked ninja warrior and a hannya.

There are also mystery mask symbols, which may appear on all reels in both the base game and the free spins round. They can reveal weapons or royal symbols or summon a stacked ninja wild. The regular symbols may split into 2 or 3 instances, while a stacked ninja wild can produce 3–9 instances per reel.

Landing three or more scatter symbols will activate the Battle Spins bonus round. Both the hannya and the ronin get three lives for the duration of this feature, and the first character to lose all three dies. Each time a stacked wild ninja pops up without being sliced, the ronin loses a life, but if the symbol gets cut, a life is taken from the hannya, and the player receives a free spin.

If the hannya loses all three lives, you’ll receive a full-reel hannya wild on reel 3, 4, or 5. The free spins mode lasts until you use all 50 FS or lose three lives.

George Olekszy, Play’n GO’s Head of Game Retention, said this slot was created for everyone but that the lovers of Japanese warrior culture will find it especially appealing. Olekszy concluded by saying this game seamlessly integrates narrative and features, while the battle mechanics and mystery symbols further enrich the experience.
